Spoke to [name removed] on the phone who was lovely and helped me book and appointment.
They helped and listened to me made me feel like a person
IBotox, gabapentin, hypnosis, acupuncture, the list goes on: improvement was either very limited or non-existent. After so many disappointments, I decided to put my energy instead into accepting things as they were and getting on with life as best I could. I was also conscious that the main improvements take place within the months following a stroke and assumed that six years on years on things were unlikely to improve. I accepted Dr [name removed]’s referral to the CBNRT in the spirit of ‘nothing ventured, nothing gained’. Now, at the end of the intervention, I feel that [name removed] and [name removed] have given me my life back. My improved ability to grasp and extend my arm means I can now use a walking frame, allowing me to get to the loo and back independently and to the kitchen to make a cup of tea. This is truly life changing not only for me but also for my husband who I’ve relied on very heavily. Whereas previously I was very reluctant to try things because of my fear of falling, the patience and reassurance of [name removed] and [name removed] (and, latterly, [name removed]) have increased my confidence to the point that I am now looking forward to what comes next. Thank you doesn’t come close!
